Background
I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1997 and have been licensed to practice psychology in Minnesota since 1999 . For fifteen years, I provided individual and group psychotherapy to individuals with eating disorders at The Emily Program. During that period, I also developed expertise in the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.
I am a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and an Approved IFS Clinical Consultant. I enjoy offering IFS to my clients, and I have found that people feel safe with this non-pathologizing, compassionate approach to the process of therapy. Many have told me that they felt able to make changes with this way of working that they were not able to make using other therapy models.
IFS Consultation
I enjoy providing IFS consultation for therapists who have completed at least a Level 1 IFS training. Some choose to do consultation weekly or bi-weekly, others on a more intermittent basis.
Fee for Service
A number of my therapy clients choose to work with me on a fee for service basis. With this arrangement no diagnosis is needed and there are none of the treatment limitations that can be present when using insurance benefits.
Insurance
I am credentialed with a number of providers. Please contact your insurer to confirm whether you will be able to use your benefits. I also work with people on an out-of-network basis where I provide a superbill that can be submitted to insurance.
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield
- Preferred One
- Medicare
